Here’s another suggestion: Stay home for another 4 years, but attend a local community college to get your required credits out of the way in the first two years, then transfer to a 4-year in-state college not far away.

If a student can do the above, Stafford loans alone can pay for college, and parents end up paying NOTHING!

Not only do they get a free one if they attend the academies, they can attend on the GI Bill after they serve and are honorably discharged. That’s as it should be!
